Toru Koyama is a digital transformation and technology leader with over two decades of executive experience across management consulting, retail, CPG, and life sciences. He currently serves as Head of Group IT & Digital Transformation at H2O Retailing Corp.and Hankyu Hanshin Dept Stores, spearheading enterprise-wide digital strategies, and sits on the NRF APAC Advisory Board. 

His career began at IBM Japan, Pfizer and PwC, followed by leadership roles at IBM Consulting, where he was appointed Partner in 2005. During his tenure at IBM, he led practices across Life Sciences & Pharma, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), and Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence (DWH/BI). 

In 2014, he joined Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings as Executive Officer and President & CEO of Isetan Mitsukoshi System Solutions, driving major structural reforms and establishing group IT governance as Head of IT Strategy. He later served as Lead Partner for the Retail & Distribution Sector at PwC Japan Group (2017) and advised multiple corporate boards before assuming his current executive position in April 2021.
